TASC was approached in 2007 by the Foreign Credentials Referral Office (FCRO) at Citizenship and Immigration Canada to work with key stakeholders to develop resources (an Employer’s Toolkit, including a Roadmap) to guide and assist employers in small- to medium-sized enterprises in small- and medium-sized cities in recruiting and retaining internationally-trained workers.
TASC has brought together sector representatives, other major business organizations representing employers, immigrant serving organizations and other key stakeholders to gather input and advice on the type of resources that need to be developed, and the most effective ways of communicating these resources
Based on an environmental scan of employer resources and the input of stakeholders, TASC is currently producing an Employer’s Roadmap to Hiring and Retaining Internationally-Trained Workers.
